A fire hazard is any object with the potential to ignite. Design is a fire hazard: a discipline that takes the mundane as kindling to create something explosive. As designers, we unleash this spark. We are the proponents of change, the ones with the power to set in motion something that cannot be stopped. We are Firehazard.

The annual Seattle University Design Exhibition was originally scheduled to open to the public on April 14, 2020 in the Vachon Gallery. Due to the circumstances of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the class of 2020 has reimagined ways to share and celebrate their work in an online environment.

Through their culminating Senior Synthesis Course, the designers have worked to express the unique physical experiences and brand design of their canceled exhibition into the two-dimensional world of computer screens. The result is this online exhibition that will be open to the public from 4:30pm PST on May 14, 2020 through May 2021.
